THE NATO SERVICE MEDAL is available for veterans and ex-servicemen and women who have served in the regular or reserve military and naval forces of countries that are members of the NATO Alliance.

Both this superb medal and its miniature are Die-struck and have a high grade bright nickel finish that will not require polishing. This is not an inexpensive casting. The medal and its ribbon suspender bar are a two piece assembly for both the full-size medal and the miniature.

The medal's beautiful ribbon has a central broad band of blue,symbolising N.A.T.O. On both sides of this central blue band are red and white stripes. With both edges of the ribbon have a narrow stripe of Royal Blue.

The medal is available with clasps (bars) to denote the particulars of your NATO service. In this way,several clasps (bars) representing your various areas and types of service can all be attached to the one medal,as is the practice with all the various British and Commonwealth General Service Medals.
The clasps,which are of similar construction and assembly type to those used on the various General Service Medals are riveted to each other and then to the medal ribbon suspender bar.
Miniature clasps (bars) are of the 'Slide-on' type,which are normally used on Miniature Medals. Approximately 50 different clasps are available.

The medal may also be applied for posthumously by Next-of-Kin.
